Reading a book on dad.
We went to the Dallas Zoo the last weekend in January (I know this post says February, but close enough) when they were doing their $5 days since it is supposed to be cold. The weather was beautiful, though. The kids also got to be just a few feet away from the cheetahs during feeding and training time, which was great since Clark's favorite animal is the cheetah.
We went to Maple Leaf Diner, which specializes in, you guessed it, Canadian food. Best poutine in Dallas = pretty mediocre poutine. I was still excited to eat some poutine, though. We also had nanaimo bars. I was disappointed that the wait staff weren't all Canadian.
The most important day of the month! It was our 10th anniversary! Who would have thought she would put up with me this long? We went to a very tasty restaurant and had their seven course tasting menu. A real splurge, but it was our tenth anniversary, right? I figured that since I had the most beautiful lady in the whole town with me, I had to go big.
We went to the arboretum since spring has already come to Dallas. It was a lot of fun and the kids enjoyed seeing all the beautiful flowers and smelling the wonderful smells.
