Smushy Face
As you may know, Sabrina loves to store toys/crawl into the bottom part of our entertainment cabinet. Today, she was pressing her face up against the glass, which Yogurl and I both thought made for quite an entertaining show. Hope you like it.
P.S. It is better if you watch it full screen.

Food Firsts
This week Manburger and I exposed our sweetheart to quite a few food firsts. On Monday she had her first taste of eggnog at our tree-decorating party (of course it was half eggnog and half milk) and she seemed to dig it. On Friday I picked up Chinese for our dinner and Sabrina really liked my moo shu vegetables. What a good baby! On Friday morning, she took trying her firsts into her own hands when she pulled a bag of cookies I had from the Relief Society cookie exchange the night before off the counter and took a big bite out of the largest cookie before Manburger caught her in the act. She looked pretty pleased with herself. Needless to say, we are not encouraging the cookie eating and she probably won't be getting those again any time soon, except maybe for a photo op for Opa.
Christmas in Cville
I am so happy it's Christmas time again. And I am so excited to live someplace where we could go cut down our own tree and there may be snow come Christmas. Sure it will be cold, but I have really missed my four seasons living in SoCal for the last four years. Right before Thanksgiving, Cville had a city tree lighting on the downtown mall. We went to look at the beautiful tree and get some yummy food downtown. There was Christmas music playing, crafts for the older kids, Santa arriving, and lots of families.
Just this past Monday we put up our own tree at home. Yeah, it may be small, but we do like the cool fiber optics that change color mixed in with the greenery. Sabrina gets excited every time I turn it on.

Fun with Daddy
I think one of my favorite parts of the day, and definitely Sabrina's, is when Manburger comes home for the evening and I get a chance to finish up dinner preparations and other minor household tasks while Sabrina and Manburger play. Last night Sabrina and he had fun reading a book together while Sabrina played with Daddy's face and hair. It's so nice when she's cuddly.

Wreaking Havoc
Sabrina loves to explore our home and find new things to take apart or take out of place and put back. One of her favorite past times is taking all of her clothes out of her dresser, playing with them, and then shoving them back in the drawer. It's amazing how the simplest things make babies so happy!

Fall Apple Festival
There were a lot of fun people and fun things to eat like goat burgers and brunswick stew.

Madamoiselle Butterfly
We finally let Sabrina dress up for Halloween this year. Last year we were in the midst of world travels and I didn't plan ahead to get her a costume. Of course, she is not going trick-or-treating and no, she has not eaten candy yet. But there was a shindig at the law school for children of law students and the law professors and I figured it was a great excuse to turn her into an adorable butterfly. Unfortunately, she has been having a rough week so she doesn't look very happy in these photos. We think it might be a molar coming through, but we haven't seen anything in her little mouth yet. I guess we all have weeks like that sometimes, when all you really want is a constant hug and maybe some reading time with Momma.

More Sabrina
Our little sweetie also likes to help us unload the clothes from our dresser drawers when we aren't looking. She will then pick something she likes and try to put it on h head, which usually ends up just wrapped around her neck like a shawl.

Fall Break at Colonial Williamsburg
Anyway, it was great fun and they talked us into buying the annual passes, so we'll be back there sometime soon.
Jamestown
Fall Break Part 3
While we were in Williamsburg, we stayed at a condo/timeshare place that also does lodging in the unsold units. We paid for a one bedroom, but they put us into a two bed, two bath unit!. It was great except that there were two staircases we had to creatively block off to keep Sabrina safe. I put on of the mattresses from an unused bed in front of one staircase and the table in front of the other.
Before we went to Williamsburg, we went up to Carter Mountain nearby for their apple festival. It turned out to be a bust. They were selling mediocre food and doing hayrides, which we weren't that interested in. Sabrina did seem to like the pumpkin patch, though. She seemed pretty determined to get this particular pumpkin and bring it home.
