More Houston Fun

These two kids love each other so much.
Sabrina and her friend from church, Brinley.
It's hard work learning to roller-skate and pushing around a baby in a stroller. Try smiling at the camera at the same time, and it can get pretty rough.

We went to the Houston Aquarium where we saw lots of fish, and a white tiger for some reason. This is the petting area, but they also have a spot you can crawl underneath and look in from below. How neat.

Sabrina ready to go down into the depths.
There was a train that took you through a shark tank. It was cool - but the coolest shark they had wasn't a shark - it was a sawfish! They also had a phony Great White Shark that popped up later on the train ride. It had red paint dripping form its mouth and Sabrina seemed really fascinated by this. That night when we were getting ready to say prayers I asked her what she was grateful for and she said, "We got to see a bloody shark." Well, okay.
This is on the ferris wheel at the aquarium. I was hoping to get more of the downtown skyline in, but failed.
Sabrina got a new doll that she loves very much. She named her "Pants-less Dragon." I was happy to go along, but her mommy decided that we shouldn't encourage that name and wait until she comes up with a new one.
I decided that I was tired of dressing the way "the man" wanted me to dress, so I went ahead and started dressing the way I thought was cool. It didn't go over too well.

Random Fun

Sabrina here is playing in a play area that is designed to look like the area where the mall is. I think she was dancing to Jump Around when this picture was taken.
There was a free performance of the Little Mermaid in Hermann Park this week. Sabrina went with some friends (and her mom) and really enjoyed it! Unfortunately she got bitten by some mean bugs afterwards.
Clark is sitting up so strong and is so smiley now-a-days. What a little joy he is!
Sabrina enjoys building space shuttles in which she travels to space and meets her space mom and space dad, who call her Earth daughter. Her space brother's name is actually Kal-El.

Galveston

Here we are at the beach in Galveston. We hard heard it was really nasty, so we actually got there not prepared to get in the water, but it wasn't a bad beach at all! Next time we go, we will be more prepared. Sabrina enjoyed running into the water and getting soaking wet as well as making sand castles.
I included this picture because I wanted everyone to see what happens when my wife takes the family photo. She must have thought this guy was supposed to be part of the family. Fortunately, he stood up and volunteered to take a picture of our whole family (probably so we would stop taking pictures of him bent over next to me).
We did happen to have a little bucket with beach tools that we got to use to play in the sand.
Of course we need to include the picture of the food. We stopped at a little shack a few blocks in form the beach that had great reviews. It was really good - coconut shrimp, fish tacos, a fish po-boy and shrimp gumbo. Yummy!
