Our Baby is Here!

Guess what! We had our baby! Our precious little girl arrived Tuesday, July 28th at 3:52 a.m. She is so sweet and amazing and both Manburger and I are super excited to have her in our lives. Labor was intense, but true to plan, I got through doing it completely naturally. We are all doing well and our little one is sleeping and eating a lot, just like a brand new baby should. Being parents is such a blessing and a miracle. We feel so blessed that Heavenly Father gave us such a beautiful, healthy daughter.

Yogurl's 24th Birthday

Well, Yogurl made it to her 24th birthday without going into labor. Besides getting my birthday all to myself, I also had a wonderful day. I think the being really pregnant part made my appreciate the little things on my birthday a lot more and kept me from getting my hopes up too high (which is the norm pre-pregnancy for birthdays). Manburger and I went to a local farmers' market in the morning and bought some homemade fresh pasta, tomatoes, and swiss chard and did lots of looking at all the different vendors. It wasn't the flea market in Albany, but it was pretty good for SoCal standards. I got to take a nap and read and Manburger took me swimming, which is definitely the best pregnant lady exercise ever! We had some delicious Vietnamese food for dinner, which in true pregnancy style, I had Manburger pick-up and bring home because I was too tired to go out anywhere.
Thank you to everyone for all your birthday wishes and gifts. One of the highlights was the gift that took me atleast 3 minutes to unwrap because my dad had wrapped it in 14 different layers. That's love for you! Manburger also got me the complete "High School Musical" DVD set. He asked if I wanted to watch one last night, but I've decided those are my "I'm in labor and need a distraction" movies. So hopefully I'll get to watch them in the next little while.
And one more shout-out to the amazingness of Manburger: He made me the most delicious coconut cake (from scratch) with a lime buttercream frosting (also from scratch)! I was super impressed. Who knew that such a big tough Marine could also bake so well? Well, I suspected it, but my birthday cake was knock-my-socks-off proof! Yummy!
Had to include this last picture for my parents. I am at 38.5 weeks and very ready to have this baby. Hopefully that will be the last pregnancy photo I post, but we'll keep everyone updated. I think you really have to reach the "I'm so sick of being pregnant" stage to make going into labor seem like a relief.

Weeks 36 & 37

This is a picture we had taken of us recently. Isn't Yogurl so adorable! Speaking of adorable, look at how cute she is pregnant at 36 and 37 weeks. The last picture is the diaper cake that she got at the baby shower the sisters in the ward had for her. She really enjoyed the shower, and we got tons of nice clothing. Yogurl even said she hopes nobody gives us any more clothing because she doesn't know what to do with all of it. We are so blessed to have such good family members and friends.

A Baby Blanket

We won something! Hooray! Well, we may have won it, but it's really for our baby. A coworker of mine hosted a fundraiser and they had this beautiful handmade baby blanket as a raffle entry there. Well, needless to say, we put most of our tickets in for this item and happened to win. I'm really excited about it, because all the baby blankets I've seen in the stores are either really cheaply made or don't have a pattern I like. So here is our little girl's first blanket in lovely yellow flannel with bunnies and pink rosebuds. I'm looking forward to her spending some "tummy time" on it.
I also had to include this photo of me at exactly 35 weeks for the family. Believe it not, there's only 1 month left. I may not look very big, but I'm certainly feeling very pregnant.
