Easters!

We had a church egg hunt (more like an egg race) yesterday and then hid our eggs in the yard today.  I realized that I enjoy the actual egg hunts much more than the egg races.   Maybe the egg races seem a bit too greedy/competitive.   The kids had a good time regardless.
This morning I tried my hand at creating fancy pancakes.   I made two bunnies and a sun/flower before I decided to stick with the regular ones.   I am  happy to report that kids were super excited about their special pancakes.   They enjoyed looking for eggs in the yard too and are showing off their loot.  We are still working on those "photo smiles."   Maybe by the time they have wedding photos, they won't look like they're grimacing.
I managed to get some decent photos of Sabrina in her Easter finery, but did not succeed with Clark.  He has just enough of his dad in him to refuse to sit still or take pictures seriously.  Or maybe that is just what boys do.  Sabrina did just fine and was very reverent in church today, but the unusual amount of sugar really did Clark in.  He was a bit of a handful and way more defiant than usual.  Hopefully a good night's rest will cure all that ails him.
