Strawberry Shortcake

Manburger here, I just had to post a picture of my recent baking adventure--strawberry shortcake. I made this thing right here from scratch (except for the whipped cream, which is from a can). They were oh so delicious if I do say so myself. The strawberries we picked two days ago really made it outstanding. It might have taken me nearly two hours in the kitchen (Yogurl says I'm a fastidious recipe follower), but they turned out awesome. I also realize that taking this picture on a red plate was a bad idea, but they have all been eaten, so there is no going back now.
