Charlottesville

Well, since we are most likely going to be living in Charlottesville soon, we decided to drive over there and check the area out. We really liked Ann Arbor, but Charlottesville is incredible. The downtown area is a beautiful no car zone. Really nice. The only apartment we looked at near main campus was pretty sketchy. But we found some apartments we really liked only a few miles away from the Law School. It's okay, though; everything in Charlottesville is within a few miles of everything else, so we won't be too far away. The law school is nice (we got a tour from the assistant dean of admissions), but the main campus is really amazing. I think it is the nicest campus I have been to, though I haven't been to that many, to be honest.
Of course, we couldn't go to Charlottesville without stopping at two historical monuments: Monticello and Spudnuts. Who doesn't love a city where Thomas Jefferson and mashed potatoes mix to create an inalienable right to delicious donuts? Seriously, I have been to Cafe du Monde and to Randy's Donuts and they can't compete with these donuts right here.
Monticello was really great too, as you can tell by my awesome glamour shot in front of Jefferson's home.
