We just got back from visiting Ann Arbor. I'm on the waitlist at UMich and Yogurl and I thought it would be nice to see the area for ourselves to know if it is somewhere we would like to live. It certainly is. Other than being full of goofy undergrads, Ann Arbor is pretty awesome. Michigan's campus is really nice and downtown Ann Arbor is right next to it. I was really impressed with the downtown area. It was very nice, very busy, and enormous for a city its size.

The law school is pretty intimidating to those of us who didn't go to prestigious boarding schools in London.

While we were there, we stopped at a store and Sabrina fell in love with the fish! She was so entertained by them. She kept pointing and laughing. I think we might have to get an aquarium one of these days.
We tried a few of the local eateries, and overall were very impressed.

I had this giant burger at a place called Famous Hamburger. It had two third pound patties and an egg and cheese. Fortunately I can dislocate my jaw to enable giant burger eating.
The best food we had was actually in nearby Dearborn. We visited the Arab-American National Museum, which was pretty interesting. Then we ate at a magical place called New Yasmeen Bakery. So incredibly delicious. I almost cried because it was so good and because it is so far away from me. If you ever happen to be in southern Michigan, go eat at this place. You can visit us there when we are (hopefully) going to University of Michigan.
