Valentine's Day Adventures!

Manburger and I decided to do all our big on-the-town Valentine's festivities the night before, so that we could enjoy a low-key Valentine's Day. The night before Manburger and I headed downtown for dinner and a movie. We saw the best movie, New in Town, which I think all of my family will love because it takes place in Minnesota and the story is funny and heart-warming. After our movie, we went to a fancy restaurant and had a delicious meal that included prime rib, pork loin, mashed potatoes, sauteed green beans, and a dessert sampler. It was nice to eat in a swanky restaurant and have great service, plus I had fun watching the other parties in the dining room, especially the couples on awkward first dates.
We really enjoyed our Valentine's Day because we didn't have to go anywhere and got to spend the whole day together. On Valentine's Day for lunch, Manburger and I had the best meal ever! Seriously, is there anything better than dipping things in hot melted cheese fondue? Although we don't have a fondue set, we improvised with our small saucepan and bamboo skewers. We had quite a yummy spread: tomatoes, apples, bread cubes, and broccoli spears. Yum, yum! The expression on my face in this picture pretty much sums up how much I enjoyed this meal.
Later in the afternoon, we went for a walk on the beach and I got a super special Valentine's Day gift. A seagull kindly pooped on my sweater and jeans, hooray! Yes, Manburger and I continued our walk after this happened :) If the seagull poop had landed on my bare skin, it would've been a different story.
And following in my Yogurl tradition, I made Manburger a luscious banana cream pie. I only make this about once a year, but it's fun and Manburger really enjoys it.
This last picture is the first documentation of my small baby-bump. It is small, but we definitely notice the change from before. I even wore my jeans with a rubberband around the button yesterday because they were starting to feel a little tight. I guess showing a little at 15 weeks is to be expected :)
