We had a special Valentine's Day Breakfast with heart shaped strawberries and homemade toaster pastries!
For our 7th (yowzers!) anniversary, we went out to a really fancy restaurant which was fortunately doing a 50% off dinner sale for Mondays in the month of February. What a wonderful coincidence that our anniversary fell on a Monday this year! The property was originally owned by Thomas Randolph (I think) who was governor of Virginia and married to Martha Jefferson (daughter of Thomas Jefferson). Our meal included smoked beef tartare, pheasant confit, sweet potato gnocchi, rabbit ballotine and more. I don't know that I'll get steak tartare again, but I actually started to enjoy it once I got past the look of it.
And here is my beautiful bride in her wedding gown 7 glorious years after our wedding. Hopefully she was trying it on to see if it fit and not because she is planning on using it again soon.
