For our fifth anniversary, we decided to go to a bed and breakfast near Colonial Williamsburg.

Oma was kind enough to come and watch Sabrina for a couple days while we were off enjoying ourselves.

The place was nice, and it was wonderful to have time together without a baby again. At the same time, it made me realize that the things I feel frustrated about having to do with a baby--finding somewhere to park the stroller, strapping her in her car seat, stopping a lot for snacks and diaper changes--really aren't that big of a deal. So while we enjoyed our alone time, it also made us enjoy our time with our baby even more.

Oh, I also had to include this picture of a plaque from inside the Wren building (the first building of the College of William and Mary). It was one of those things that reminds you that you definitely are in the South. While I think Sic Semper Tyrannis is a cool motto, it seems particularly harsh flown next to a confederate flag.
