Well we are safely in Ohio now, after a long journey across most of America. We broke the trip up so that

we didn't have to drive more than 9 hours any single day. It took longer, but I think it was the right choice. We didn't get cranky, and Sabrina was able to handle the trips really well. We even let her drive a couple of times. We stopped in Flagstaff AZ, then
Tucumcari NM, then in Tulsa OK, then in St. Louis MO.
Tucumcari was the most depressing place on the trip. It was a town which seems to have developed only for Route 66. Now it is just a sad little town. New Mexico and Arizona both turned out to be more beautiful than I thought they would be.

They certainly were better than the Mojave Desert.

Our hotel in Tulsa had a heated swimming pool, so Sabrina took her first swim. She really enjoyed it.
