This past Friday was my first baby shower in our expected baby's honor. A place I used to volunteer hosted a double shower for me and for another employee who is expecting in June.
It was fun to catch up with old faces I hadn't seen in a while and to oooh and ahh over all the cute baby stuff. It was a potluck too, so there was plenty of delicious food. One of the coolest food items was a giant two-layer chocolate chip cookie. The person who brought it also brought a half-gallon of ice cream so you could make your own ice cream sandwich right there. Genius!
Our baby received some very cute outfits and also a super cool "glow worm" for those late night changings. I didn't even know they still made those things, b/c I remember having one when I was little. I really enjoyed myself and am looking forward to the other baby showers planned in the future.
