Starting Out the New Year In Texas

Well, after coming back from Christmas break, I had to work a full day on Tuesday and then 4 hours on Wednesday. By then, I was ready for another 4 day weekend. Fortunately I work for the Take-A-Day-Off Corporation. It's sometimes called the federal government, but don't let that fool you. Since our flight left early New Year's Day, Yogurl and I celebrated Eastern time zone New Year's Day and then went to bed.
Austin was really cool. They have a burnt orange shirt law that requires every citizen to wear a UT shirt at least once a week. Yogurl's favorite part was probably the cowboy attire. Maybe one day she can buy a pair of $800 boots, but not anytime soon. I tried on a few cowboy hats, but this one here made me look more like Indiana Jones than a cowboy. It's hard to find hats when you have such a fat grape. One of my favorite parts was the animatronic LBJ at the presidential museum. Yogurl just reminded me that her other favorite part was the Whole Foods Mecca. She loves Whole Foods markets, and in Austin they have the mother of them all. If it were up to her, we probably would have eaten every meal there during our stay. Our most favorite part of all, though, was seeing the Petertammensons. Yogurl always misses her sisters when they aren't around, and she was super excited to see cute little Laurel again. One of my least favorite parts was diaper duty. Sure, I didn't change a diaper by myself, or at all for that matter, but I did distract Laurel while Luke changed her diaper, and that was pretty intense. Anyway, we had a great time. Happy New Year!
