Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everybody! I hope that everybody got to eat way more candy than they should have in one day. Yogurl and I had a lot of fun finding the candy we hid for each other last night. Well, actually, I think I had a lot more fun than Yogurl did. She hid all my candy in fairly easy places. I, on the other hand, come from a family where there is supposed to be a challenge to find all the candy. I think she got a little upset by some of them. Like the chocolate bar that I hid inside a DVD case. She never would have found that one if I hadn't helped her out. I think she has forgiven me. On the other hand, I don't know if she will ever forgive me for buying her Palmer's chocolate.
Church was lots of fun. Yogurl and I were the readers for the Easter program. I thought it was a nice program. An older brother from the ward told me that he thought we were the best part of the program. I figured he was just being nice like everybody else, but then he began to bash everybody else who was in the program, and other people who have been part of past programs. In a way, it actually made his compliment more meaningful, since he obviously had no qualms pointing out flaws. I also got to teach my class for the first time. I'm teaching the 12 and 13 year olds. Not only were they extremely well behaved, as you can imagine, but they also had already had the lesson I was told to prepare. Oh well.
Yogurl prepared a yummy roast chicken with garlic and potatoes and asparagus. It was delicious! We weren't sure if it had been cooked long enough so we stuck it back in the oven a couple of times.
For dessert, Yogurl made a yummy lamb cake. It turned out pretty dense for some reason, which I liked just fine. The plan was to cover it in ganache, but then Yogurl just made more like a chocolate sauce which we poured on top after cutting it up. Yummy!
This week was a really good week for us, too. I won the air station Non-Commissioned Officer of the Quarter board, which I wasn't expecting to win. So that was nice. Even better than that, Yogurl started working for the city. She is getting paid well, and she is walking distance to work, so we don't have to worry about finding another means of transportation. Her job has been keeping her busy, which she is enjoying.
This week we also got an unexpected package in the mail. Somebody sent us a painting of two dogs boxing. I thought it was pretty cool, so I hung it up over our fireplace. Yogurl wants it moved somewhere less central to the apartment. I told her I would move it when she bought something to replace it. We couldn't figure out who sent it to us at first, so we called lots of people. The funniest thing is that most people when asked if they sent us a painting responded, "What is it a painting of?" Does it matter? Did you send us a painting or not? Maybe some of you just send out so many paintings you can't remember to whom they were all sent.
That's it for now I think! Oh, and our bedroom almost flooded again, but we got it quickly under control this time.

Oh, ye gads! What a painting! And above the fireplace?! And Palmer's chocolate? That's two against you, Patrick. Oh, well, men have to learn these things in time. :)
But what a fabulous cake! Wow!!! Mine came out really dense too. Hmm. But that chocolate sauce looks super tasty!
